Altenburg Advisory (“Altenburg”) is delighted to have advised Pelican Capital in arranging a £10m facility from AURELIUS Finance Company to support their acquisition of the UK’s largest professional probate genealogy firm, Finders International (“Finders”)

The debt facility from AURELIUS Finance Company, structured as a bespoke £10m senior-secured RCF, was used to support the initial acquisition and will also provide ongoing working capital to drive continued growth.

Commenting on the new debt facilities, Jonty Hogg, Investment Executive at Pelican Capital, said “We are delighted to have acquired Finders, with the support of the team at Altenburg and AURELIUS Finance Company.  This was a complex transaction, which required a bespoke financing arrangement. Working closely with AURELIUS Finance Company, who were pragmatic and a pleasure to work with, we were able to deliver a highly bespoke solution for a unique business. We look forward to seeing the business continue to grow under Pelican’s ownership.”

James Marler, Director and Head of New Business at AURELIUS Finance Company commented: “We invested the time to get to know Finders, the nuances of its business model, and the wider market dynamics to enable us to create a highly bespoke revolving loan facility tailored exactly to the requirements of the transaction.
